Happy New Year - wishing you all the very best in 2008! The last few months of 2007 were steady with performances and I very much enjoyed entertaining for so many wonderful organizations!
A few shows have been booked for 2008 although the main focus will be the release of my debut album. Funding is being applied for, songs are being searched for (and co-written) with the hopes of a late summer release.

Hello to all - hope everyone is enjoying the summer! Time continues to fly by - hard to believe the last update I provided was in April. Since that time I have had the opportunity to perform at a variety of events including a cultural celebration, high school graduation and Dauphin CountryFest 2007. I want to send out a hello to all the fantastic people I met during these performance opportunities - so great to see you in the crowd cheering on those working for their dream. Thanks for your continued support and encouragement - makes my journey so rewarding.

Another special thank you goes out to the phenomenal staff at the Native Addictions Council of Manitoba for hosting such a fantastic evening on February 23, 2007. It was a great honour to perform for all who attended and to be part of such a wonderful event. A large thank you to the organizers for including myself in the line-up and to all those who made their way up to speak to me afterwards. Bud Country Talent Search 2007 - That's right the Talent Search is right around the corner with auditions beginning in mid-February and the finals taking place on May 1, 2007! For more information please check out the QX 104FM web-site @ www.qx104fm.com or contact Katherine @ 275-2300. Audience response is a LARGE factor in the marking system this year, so if any of you know of a performer auditioning I encourage you to get out to support them and bring your loud voice!
I am scheduled to audition on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 and would love to have as many supporters out as I possibly can. Make sure you come by and say hello!
Native Addictions Council of Manitoba - A fundraiser celebrating 35 years of fantastic service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2007 beginning at 6:00pm. The evening features the talents of Billy Joe Green, Troy Westwood and Little Hawk. I am honoured to inform that I have been asked to open up the entertainment portion of the evening with the assistance of my friend and wonderful fiddle player, the remarkable Mr. Dale Brown (www.dustrhinos.com). 20th Annual NCI Jam a great success for Krista Rey as she takes home the first place prize! This showcase of Aboriginal Amateur talent took place Saturday, September 2, 2006 @ the Centennial Concert Hall in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
